Fans of pop culture trivia have a new destination with the launch of Hollywood IQ.
The daily on-the-street show has newly debuted and features questions about film, TV and pop culture. Hailing from Mad Realities, it is available on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram and features such formats as “Guess the Movie From Its Cast” and “What Do They Have in Common?”
Hollywood IQ quietly debuted two months ago and has since surpassed 60 million views across all platforms. Sandy Melara hosts the show, while Talia Schulhof serves as creative producer, and Mad Realities co-founder Alice Ma is executive producer.

“Hollywood IQ is the trivia show of the modern age, designed for our generation and built for the Internet,” says Ma. “Just like crosswords were born from print, Jeopardy! from TV, and HQ Trivia from apps, Hollywood IQ comes from the world of shortform content. With Hollywood IQ, we’ve taken everything people love about iconic trivia formats and given it an addicting, modern and niche twist for the chronically online.”
Schulhof, who was previously on the MrBeast shortform content team, credits the show for being able to quickly adapt to online trends.
“Our ability to move as fast as the Internet is key,” she explains. “We can turn around content in less than 24 hours to keep up with trending topics. By following the social timelines — like launching trivia tied to a new movie trailer or a viral cultural moment — we create engagement that snowballs. One video goes viral, people get hooked on the game and suddenly they’re watching every video.”
As seen above, a recent Hollywood IQ post shows a contestant attempting to identify a popular movie based on just one second of footage.
Editors include Schulhof, Andy Vega, Sean Fitzmaurice and Daisy Ramirez. Alex Mi handles art direction, while the camera operator is Cody Erickson.
